The schedule has been announced for the 2010 Rolex Commodore’s Cup and the U.S.IRC Foundation along with U.S.Sailing has stepped up its hunt for a three-boat U.S.team.Rolex along with the Royal Ocean Racing Club was pleased to announce that the 2010 Rolex Commodore’s Cup will be held in Cowes, Isle of Wight in England between 15th and 21st of August of 2010.The rules and pattern of the regatta will be more or less similar to the 2008 Rolex Commodore’s Cup.The regatta will offer a Breitling Avenger Titanium BRL320 watches challenging mix of inshore and offshore races.The racing schedule which will be spread over a week and will be sailed on the trying waters of the Solent.The international teams are to consist of three boats each.The boats will be from the bands Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3.Class 1 will be a TCC 1.120-1.230 with a maximum displacement length ratio (DLR) of 200.Class 2 will have TCC 1.075-1.119 with a maximum DLR of 200.The Class 3 is to have a TCC 1.025-1.074 and a maximum DLR of 215.Within these three bands each boat would also have to comply with the safety and stability indices requirement of STIX and AVS.Since these three bands proved extremely successful in 2008 they have been kept intact in 2010 as well.The dates have been changed for the 2010 regatta following the feedback from the 2008 event.The regatta will wrap up a day earlier in 2010 so that the teams have the Breitling Avenger Titanium BRL320 watches Sunday to themselves to travel home.The last regatta was extremely popular and attracted 15 teams from six nations.The same excitement is expected this time as well.The participating countries in 2008 were Spain, Hong Kong, France, Ireland, Netherlands and UK and the Royal Ocean Racing Club is hopeful of attracting more teams with the change of dates.
